Game of the Week

Downs Law Firm K-104

Game of the Week

Introduction

Every Friday night during the fall, a community has the opportunity to come together and support their hometown by attending their local high school football game. It is a moment in time to celebrate and come together as a community. Friday night football games bring everyone together including the band, cheerleaders, fans, and of course the football teams. The Downs Law Firm and K-104 celebrate our Northeast Louisiana community by hosting a “Game of the Week.”

The Details

Each week, we will choose one of the most anticipated High School Football Games to celebrate both schools and showcase all of their talents for bragging rights. Everyone is included! The two schools will compete across the board, including the battle of the cheerleaders and battle of the bands. There will be face painting and balloons for the kids on both sides.

From 5:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m., K104 will do special programming where they will be broadcasting live on channel 540AM and 105.7FM. The community can look forward to witty banter and great support from Gene Ponti, Joey Pender, Clay Parker, and Ross Downs on the Friday Night Scoreboard show. They will be providing up-to-date coverage within the Northeast Louisiana football community.

The two football teams will compete on the field for the acclaimed 2 ½foot tall, 50lb Game of the Week Champion trophy. The winner of the football game will keep the trophy for the week following the game as the Game of the Week Champion for that week.

Helping Those in Need

Northeast Louisiana is a place where people believe in helping those in need. Along with the battle to become the Champion, we challenge the community to seize this opportunity to sponsor a local charity and give back through their hard work.

Pie for Charity

Let’s be honest, within each school there is a particular individual everyone would love to see receive a pie to the face. We want to take that vision and bring it to life! Each school will provide a volunteer that is most deserving to receive the pie-to-the-face. The pie-to-the-face will be done at half-time. All of the donations will be announced and given to the charity. No one is going to want to miss the showcase of the pie for charity!

Conclusion

Northeast Louisiana does it big and does it right! We look forward to the entire community coming together through Friday night football. Thank you for your participation! We look forward to having a great time together as a community!
