Impact Player of the Week – Week 12

We had over 350 votes for our Week 12 All Star Trophies and Awards IMPACT Player of the Week. Derome Williams (West Monroe) 15-243-2 and Ron Craten (Oak Grove) 11-194-4 had massive running games. Ja’Raylon Burks (Ruston) had 5 tackles and 2 sacks; Kobe Holland (Mangham) had 13 tackles and 4 for a loss and Kylyn Lewis (Ferriday) had 11 tackles, 3 sacks and a safety. Neville’s TE Davis Brown caught 2 td’s and made some strong blocks. Speaking of blocking, Oak Grove’s Nick Sciara did a fine job opening holes for the Tigers. QB Hunter Herring (OCS) had 344 all purpose yards and 3 touchdowns in the Eagles big win. Union’s Trent Ginn and Trey Holly both had outstanding weeks. Briarfield’s Crews Fortenberry led the Rebels to the MAIS Class A state title with an impressive game…185 yards, 3 tds and 16 tackles. Crews was our runner up this week but we are choosing Riverfield’s Hudson Brakefield as Impact Player of the Week. Hudson ran for 201 yards and 3 touchdowns as he led the Raiders to a 29-21 state championship victory over Tri-County. Congrats Hudson!
