When you get into the second round of the playoffs every win is big so kudos to West Monroe, Union, Ferriday, Oak Grove, Sterlington and Neville. Homer had an impressive upset road win (41-34 over Centerville) while Bastrop held off Eunice, the defending 3A state champions, 8-7. Ruston won the Downs Law Game of the Week 21-13 over the 4 seed East Ascension. Special kudos to Briarfield who defeated Prairie View 60-36 to win the 1A Mais state championship and Riverfield who held off Tri-County to win the MAIS 4A title 29-21. The BIG WIN of the Week award goes to the Ouachita Christian School Eagles who made a huge comeback to knock off a very strong Calvary Baptist team 49-47 in Shreveport. Ouachita Christian Football was down 20-0, 26-7 and 33-13 (at the half) but never gave up and made a furious comeback to oust the Cavaliers and host a semifinal playoff game this Friday. Congrats Eagles!!
