We’re happy to announce that this week’s Charity of the Week is the Northeast Louisiana Food Bank!

Here’s a little info about the Northeast Louisiana Food Bank:

There is more than enough food in America to feed every man, woman and child, yet here in Northeast Louisiana, over 71,000 people struggle with hunger. The Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana procures, sorts, inventories and provides food to our partner agencies for distribution into their local communities. In addition, the Food Bank operates three programs that directly provides food to those most vulnerable – our children and seniors. Together, as a hunger-relief network we serve over 24,000 people every month.

As a member of the Feeding America network of Food Banks, the Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana is leading the fight against hunger in our community. We are one of five Food Banks in Louisiana and we serve the following 12 parish region: Caldwell; East Carroll; Franklin; Jackson; Lincoln; Madison; Morehouse; Ouachita; Richland; Tensas; Union; and West Carroll.
